About Gustus Vitae
Who makes Gustus Vitae?
Gustus Vitae is Californian woman-owned family company, and maker of gourmet seasonings, rubs, infused sea salts and naturally flavored cane sugars. We started at the Venice Beach Farmers Market and hand pack everything in small batches in Los Angeles.
Where are your products made?
Every product is blended in small batches and hand packed in our reusable magnetic tins in Los Angeles, California. Each batch is hand inspected before it ships.
Has Gustus Vitae been featured anywhere?

Ingredients and dietary needs
Are your seasonings all natural?
Yes. Our seasonings, salts and sugars are made with all natural, sustainably sourced, non-GMO ingredients. The full ingredient list is on every product page.
Are your seasonings gluten-free or vegan?
Most of our blends are gluten-free, and many are vegan. Some blends contain dairy (such as butter, cheese or sour cream), honey or Worcestershire, so please check the ingredient list on each product page.
Do you have salt-free or sugar-free options?

Using our products
How do I use your seasonings?
Sprinkle them on before or after cooking, or mix them into marinades, butter, dips and dressings. Each product page has suggested uses, and our Recipeish blog has recipes.
What is a finishing salt?
A finishing salt is added just before serving, so its flavor and crunch stay bright. Try our infused sea salts on steak, eggs, roasted vegetables, popcorn or the rim of a cocktail glass.
How do I use flavored cane sugar?
Stir it into coffee, tea and lattes, sprinkle it on oatmeal or French toast, bake with it, or use it to rim a glass. Browse our flavored cane sugars.
How should I store my tins?
Keep the lid closed and store your tins in a cool, dry place away from the stove. The magnetic tins also stick to your fridge or a metal spice rack.
Do you make seasonings for kids?
Yes. Our Kid's Menu line is gourmet seasonings made for families, for chicken tenders and fries, burgers and tacos, pasta and pizza, veggies and dips.

Do you sell gift sets?
Yes. Our gift sets range from 2 tins to 20 tins, with themes like BBQ, the air fryer, popcorn, salt-free cooking and cuisines of the world. Every set arrives ready to give.

Shipping and returns
How much is shipping?
Shipping is free on every order within the United States, with no minimum.
How fast do you ship?
US orders ship the next business day and usually arrive in 2 to 6 business days.
Do you ship internationally?
Yes. International orders ship the next business day and usually arrive in 6 to 18 business days. International shipping rates are shown at checkout.
What is your return policy?
Unopened items in their original packaging can be returned within 30 days of purchase. Because we sell food, we cannot accept returns of opened products. If an item arrives damaged or defective, email hello@gustusvitae.com and we will replace it. See our full returns policy.
